In-Clinic Surgical & Office-Based Procedures
Medcareer Clinic / Taj Clinic may provide selected in-clinic surgical or office-based procedures after assessment by a qualified clinician. These services are intended for appropriate minor concerns that can be safely managed in a clinic environment.
What Are Office-Based Procedures?
Office-based procedures are selected minor procedures that may be performed in a clinic setting when safe and appropriate. These may involve assessment of skin, wound, soft-tissue, or other minor concerns, depending on the clinical situation.
Assessment Comes First
Before any procedure, the clinician will assess the concern and review: medical history, current medications, allergies, bleeding risks, infection risks, relevant previous procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
Safety and Consent
Patients should understand the reason for the procedure, expected benefits, possible risks, alternatives, and follow-up requirements. A procedure will only be considered if it is clinically appropriate and the patient has had the opportunity to ask questions.
Preparing for an Appointment
Ensure you bring all relevant medical information to your appointment to facilitate a safe and focused assessment.
Bring your health card
For identification and insurance purposes.
Allergy information
Any known allergies to medications or materials.
Inform about bleeding risks
Inform the clinic if you take blood thinners or have bleeding problems.
Current medication list
Include all prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Relevant medical records
Previous test results or specialist letters if available.
Diabetes or immune concerns
Inform if you have diabetes, immune system concerns, or a history of poor wound healing.
Important note: Procedure availability depends on the patient’s condition, medical history, medications, allergies, safety factors, clinic resources, and clinician assessment. Some concerns may require referral to a specialist, hospital, or another healthcare facility.
